Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and leader Dr. A writ demanding action against Baburam Bhattarai has been registered in the Supreme Court.
Lenin Bista, a child soldier of the armed war, filed a writ in the Supreme Court with Prachanda and Bhattarai as opponents, alleging that the then Maoists had used unintelligent minors like him as child soldiers and forcibly removed them from the camp as unqualified fighters.
Earlier, Bista's writ was filed by the Supreme Administration, saying that it would be decided according to transitional justice. A single bench of Justice Anand Mohan Bhattarai, while hearing the petition filed by Bista against the bench, ordered the registration of the writ last Friday.
The date of hearing on the said writ has been fixed on 30th of June.
In the writ, both the leaders have been requested to register a war crime case and proceed with the action. In this process, he also demands that Prachanda's position as Prime Minister should be suspended.
The writ petitioner also demands an order not to insult them as unqualified fighters.
